About The Event

Join tour leader Lorraine Morecraft on a birding ID tour at the Trails at Kiplinger Conservancy. Meet in the parking area.

KC Trails is a vast network of trails including about 450, wildlife-rich acres designated as the Kiplinger Conservancy. Once complete, the trails will also include scenic overlooks, benches and boardwalks. The Kiplinger Conservancy also serves as a haven for the threatened gopher tortoise population. Gopher tortoises must be relocated by developers to a safe environment when construction impacts their habitat. Kiplinger Conservancy is home to a 30-acre recipient site with a maximum capacity of 60 tortoises, and is Martin County’s first-ever gopher tortoise preserve.

Directions: KC Trails is located on the west side of SW Newfield Pkwy (formerly Citrus Blvd) 0.5 miles south of Becker Rd.

NO facilities.
