About The Event
Meeting at the trail head on Savanna Road at 7:00 AM this trip is designed for beginning birders and focuses on finding and identifying local breeding birds and Spring migrants. Approximately 1.5 miles of walking on sandy and sometimes hilly terrain with 2-4 hours of birding.
There are no public facilities at this location. Trip limited to 8 participants. Your trip leader will be Roy Netherton. If you have any questions regarding this trip please email roynconnie@sbcglobal.net
Be sure and bring: Binoculars, water, hiking shoes, hats, sunblock, and snacks
*No pets are permitted on this trip*
From US 1, follow CR707A (Jensen Beach Blvd) east 2.2 miles to CR 723 (Savannah Rd). Turn left and drive 1.1 miles to the crest of the hill at the gate on the left at the corner with NE Dorsey Terrace. There is no parking lot, so turn your car around and park along the shoulder of the road along the state park. Do not block the gate. Parking is very limited.
