Volun-TEEN Program - Learn to Bird!
Time & Location
About The Event
Our VolunTeen Program is for Martin County residents ages 14 - 18 who are looking for a volunteer experience in an outdoors setting immersed in the private, public, and non-profit environmental sectors! Hours can be counted towards graduation or for Honor Societies. This first Saturday, explore Possum Long Nature Center with experienced birders, listening to calls, identifying habitat preference, and learning to document your sightings like a true citizen scientist. This is a great way to start off your birding adventures this season!
Please come with plenty of water (preferably in a resuable container) & sunscreen!
Wear closed toe shoes and clothing you don't mind getting sweaty in.
This program is sponsored by: The Susan R. and John W. Sullivan Fund for Martin County and the Thomas Ladue McGinty Memorial Environmental Fund of The Community Foundation for Palm Beach & Martin Counties
