About The Event

Meet at the roadside trailhead at 6:30 AM to search one of the many "migrant traps" during the peak of Spring migration. This trip will appeal mostly to individuals with some birding experience and knowledge as viewing and identification can sometimes be challenging in the dense mangroves along the trail.

Target species will be passerine migrants including thrushes, vireos, and warblers including the elusive Connecticut Warbler. Approximately 2 miles of walking on level unpaved road surface with 2-4 hours of birding.

Trip is limited to 3 participants due to parking limitations and sensitivity of target species. There are no facilities at this location. Your trip leader will be Roy Netherton. If you have any questions regarding this trip please be sure and contact Roy at

Be sure and bring binoculars, sunscreen, insect repellent, hat, and plenty of water.

*No pets are permitted on this trip*
