About The Event

John J. Audubon is widely known as the greatest naturalist illustrator that our nation has every known. His body of work is the gold standard by which all others are now compared. Join me this Thursday evening as we take a closer look into the life and works of John J. Audubon. From his birth and earth childhood, through his years of producing his life work "The Birds of North America".

We will examine many of his works, learn a great deal about the man himself, and study how he made such amazing paintings. We will also discuss his travels in Florida, and how his works were published.

Finally, we will learn how his work was rediscovered by the American Public in the middle 1980's and why it is such an important part of our understanding of birds.

Additionally, this is your opportunity to win a full size reproduction of his painting of the Osprey! Raffle tickets will be sold for $5 - 1 or $20 for 5! Cash only.
