About The Event
This birding photo tour offers everyone an opportunity to see and photograph dozens of species of birds in an environment unique to this area. C-44 Reservoir & STA is managed by the South Florida Water Management District, public access is managed by Audubon of Martin County.
Directions:Â
From Stuart, take Kanner Highway (SR 76) south to SW 96th St (CR 76A) and turn right heading west. After 2.5 miles, SW 96th St (CR 76A) ends at SW Citrus Blvd (CR 726), turn left. Heading south, continue on SW Citrus Blvd (CR 726) for 9.1 miles to Minute Maid Rd and turn right. Travel 3.5 miles northbound on Minute Maid Rd to C-44 STA Reservoir.
From Palm City, take Martin Highway (SR 714) west over Florida's Turnpike to SW Citrus Blvd (CR 726) in Palm City and turn left. Heading south, continue on SW Citrus Blvd (CR 726) for 14.2 miles to Minute Maid Rd and turn right. Travel 3.5 miles northbound on Minute Maid Rd to C-44 STA Reservoir.
From Hobe Sound, take SW Bridge Rd (CR 708) west to Pratt Whitney Rd (SR 711) and turn right. Crossing Kanner Highway, Pratt Whitney Rd (SR 711) becomes SW 96th St (CR 76A). After 5.4 miles, SW 96th St (CR 76A) ends at SW Citrus Blvd (CR 726), turn left. Heading south, continue on SW Citrus Blvd (CR 726) for 9.1 miles to Minute Maid Rd and turn right. Travel 3.5 miles northbound on Minute Maid Rd to C-44 STA Reservoir.
From points further south, take SW Warfield Blvd (SR 710 )to SW Citrus Blvd S (CR 726) and turn right heading east. Travel 0.5 miles, bearing left stay on SW Citrus Blvd (CR 726). Continue 1.3 miles to Minute Maid road and turn left. Travel 3.5 miles northbound on Minute Maid Rd to C-44 STA Reservoir.
